Description
This set comes from the early Seventies and it was partially restored; the sizes are 22"x14", 13"x9", 16"x16".
Let's see it in details. Bass drum: the beautiful Black Oyster Pearl is original and in perfect condition; the Blue\Olive badge is intact and in the inside of the shell we see the red stamp Mar. 17 1970. 1306 bass drum spurs, as in use from 1970 until 1978. The rail consolette was put on the right (maybe for a lefty drummer), and then it was moved on top of the drum, so that only other 2 holes were drilled. The shell is 3ply Maple\Poplar\Maple with reinforcing rings, and the inside is clear lacquered.
Tom: it was recovered with a Delmar Black Oyster wrap, very similar to the original one; otherwise it is completely original. The shell is 3ply Maple\Poplar\Maple with reinforcing rings, and the inside is painted gray with Granitone. It has the knob-type muffler.
Floor tom: it was recovered with a Black Oyster wrap, very similar to the original one, to math the rest of the kit; otherwise it is completely original. The shell is 3ply Maple\Poplar\Maple with reinforcing rings, and the inside is paited gray with Granitone. It has the knob-type muffler.
A very nice and elegant set, with the classic Ludwig sound: punchy, warm and deep, with plenty of volume. A true classic!
