Description
Wonderful Jazz Festival snare drum, dating back to 1965; the serial number is 173621, and on the inside of the shell we read the date 30JUL1965. This drum is in almost mint condition, and it is completely original except for the heads.
The Red Sparkle wrap is perfect and shiny, the hardware and the hoops are in excellent condition. The snare wire and the "baseball bat" muffler are is the original one.
The Jazz Festival was introduced in 1959\60 and it is the most popular Ludwig wood snare; not so easy to find, indeed. The drum you see pictured above has 3-ply Mahogany\Poplar\Mahogany shell with reinforcements hoops and white Resacote paint. Sizes are 14"x5,5".
