WELCOME TO THE GARAGE DI ASSO!
WELCOME TO THE GARAGE DI ASSO!
I am ROBERTO CAVEDON (www.myspace.com / robertocavedon); someone may think that I am "Asso", perhaps because of my left forearm tattoo...this tattoo is a tribute to Lemmy, Motorhead singer and bassist.
ASSO is a big, beautiful, 7 years old cat, who loved wander around my drums and my guitars, and often he slept inside one of my bass drums. The Garage is dedicated to him, one of my loyal admirers, who now prefers to run in a garden bigger garden and live in a tidy house.
As you could see, the "Garage di Asso" is not a music shop in the classic sense of the term, but an exhibition of objects that have done (and still are) part of my life - my passions, my mania, the dreams of a child…
All the stuff you'll see represents what I love: guitars, tennis racquets, football jersey or some drums...Many of these are on sale, and many more are yet to come.
…I'd like to show my gratitude...
This adventure began in March 2007; it would not have been possible without the fundamental helping (and patience…) of DEBORA SANTUS (www.myspace.com/deborasantus), author of many custom works, and the great collaboration with ROBERTO PASSERI (www.myspace.com/tonytrottola), double bass player and artist in the broadest sense; he made beautiful and appreciated custom drums. I am sure I could count on both of them in the future, and I hope I'll be grateful enough!
Let me now introduce to you two great friends of mine, who will support me in this project.
LORENZO BERTOLLINI, professional Classical and Jazz double bass player; he owns a collection of 70s Fender basses and some fine double bass. He came down with a "Vintage disease"...even regarding the drums! I sincerely envy some of the many beautiful Ludwig snares and sets he owns...

GIANLUCA BRUNETTI, bassist. I shared over a hundred live Blues gigs with him and we still spend a great time playing together. He deals with the creation of sound effects using recyclable materials, and also restores and customizes some of our instruments. He is the founder of Snupi (www.myspace.com/snupi), an animalist association which operates in Rocca di Papa (Rome), a refuge for abandoned and neglected dogs and cats.
